Flood
Two classmates and I traveled to Fargo, ND and North-west MN yesterday to photograph the flooding. We wanted to do a multi-media piece on the people effected but were impeded by a pretty big snow storm, and couldn't get to the town we were going. We are going to go back when things settle down and do a piece on the after-math instead. Landscapes of the flood are on their way.

Mommy's Music
I just started the process of re-editing my Photographic Essay Book, here is one of the first images I've finished. I'm pretty excited, (especially with CS5's way better noise reduction)!

SPE
Last month I traveled to Atlanta with a classmate to the Society for Photographic Education national conference. We both recieved a travel scholarship through Ai Minnesota to attend. It was an incredible experience. We were able to attend numerous presentations, the most memorable being Abelardo Morell and Robert Hirsch.
Robert Hirsch
Jim Stone
The conference was really inspiring, and also a lot of fun! It was great to meet and talk with photographers from all over the country. We made one really good friend from Philadelphia and are planning to travel to next years conference in San Francisco next year!

Sneak Peak: Porky's St. Paul Final Weekend
On Saturday I photographed the final weekend of Porky's in St. Paul. Here is a very rough edit of what I shot there: the final product will be part of my Central Corridor Project. I shot video and still images as well as conducted audio interviews with some of the patrons. Next I will photograph it abandoned.
I am very sad to see Porky's close. This will likely be the case for a lot of businesses on University ave over the next few years as the construction of the new light-rail system thickens.
